About This Exhibition & US
Welcome to Kunyu Quantu (坤輿全圖) – a digital exhibition of the ancient world map in Chinese created in 1674. The map is digitized by Uppsala University Library, and the digitized map can be accessed on Alvin. Displaying the digitized map Kunyu Quantu with interpretation, this exhibition aims to explore interesting contents on the map which connect cultures across the West and the East in the 17th century.
The exhibition is made by Liangyu Liu & Feiye Yin, Master students of Digital Humanities (ALM Department), Uppsala University, during an internship at Uppsala University Library where they got great support. The language of this exhibition is English, while some of the Chinese text sourced from the map is also displayed for better understanding. The website is designed by using Omeka.net.
